Big Game Fishing Trip

Our big game fishing trip goes further than the small fish trip, with a longer boat ride and full-day experience:

• Departure: 09:30 AM – Return: 5:00 PM
• After departure, we first catch small fish to use as live bait, then head to deep sea for big game fishing
• Sometimes patience is needed as big fish don’t bite all the time
• We recommend taking seasickness medication, especially for children or those prone to motion sickness
• The trip includes 1 snorkeling stop, lunch (grilled fish + sashimi), fresh fruit, drinking water, insurance, and all necessary equipment
• Please note: Catching big fish depends on weather, luck, and patience – it cannot be guaranteed 100%

🎣 Big Game Fishing Program (09:30 – 17:00)

🕤 09:30 AM

🚤 Depart from Koh Lipe.

🌊 Head out for about 50 minutes – 1 hour to catch small fish for bait.

🐟 Only live bait is used, such as mackerel or red snapper, around 3 inches in size.

🎯 During this time, you’ll catch small fish. If successful quickly, we move on; if not, it may take longer depending on weather ☁️🌤️ and sea conditions 🌊.

⏰ Late Morning – Early Afternoon

Once we have bait, we start big game fishing for species such as:

🐟 Trevally

🐟 Spanish mackerel

🐟 Queenfish

🐟 Barramundi cod

🐟 Barracuda

⚓ We use drift fishing and wait for the big fish to bite 🐠.

🎲 The catch rate depends on luck — the captain may also try trolling to increase the chance of success.

🍱 12:00 – 13:00 PM

👨‍✈️ The captain prepares lunch onboard, such as grilled fish 🍢 + fresh sashimi 🍣 from the catch.

ℹ️ For big game fishing, it’s recommended to stay offshore all day (not stop at the beach 🏝️) to maximize your chances of landing big fish.

🤿 Afternoon – 16:30 PM

Guests can choose to continue big game fishing, or if preferred, enjoy snorkeling at 1 spot 🪸🐠 (depending on time and preference).

🚤 Return safely to Koh Lipe 🙏.
